Study the anatomy and gesture of a live model in a variety of poses. Practice short studies to explore themes of abstraction and interpretation. Using a wire armature, form the figure, then create a sculpture using Klean Klay (a form of plasticine).THE BUST
Working from a live model, study the human head to create a life-sized bust. Study proportion and volume, explore various texture and form techniques using non-firing clay and plaster, and learn rudimentary casting to produce a waste mold.Summer
